Where the River Meets Home
Montana Fly Fishing Lodge sits on the banks of East Rosebud Creek — one of Montana's designated Wild and Scenic Rivers — in the shadow of the Beartooth Mountains. This is the Yellowstone River Basin at its most pristine: clear water, native trout, and miles of river with no one else in sight.
The lodge has been family-owned since the 1940s. What started as a small fishing camp has grown into one of Montana's most respected all-inclusive fly fishing destinations, without ever losing the character that made it worth building in the first place. Handcrafted log structures, home-cooked meals, and guides who've fished these waters for decades.
This is authentic Montana — not resort Montana. No corporate polish, no manufactured experiences. Just honest lodging, exceptional water, and the kind of hospitality that only comes from a family who's been doing this for three generations.
In 2024, Montana Fly Fishing Lodge was named an Orvis-Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge of the Year Finalist — a recognition earned not by size or spectacle, but by the quality of the experience and the consistency of the fishing.

Handcrafted Comfort
The lodge isn't a hotel — it's a home. Every structure on the property was built with local materials and designed to make the time between days on the water as memorable as the fishing itself.
